1/35 M4a3 Sherman WIP

This pic shows a new drybrush technique used to render the bare metal visible on the barrel near the mantlet.

After masking with Tamiya tape, AV Gunmetal was dry brushed onto the barrel slowly to build up the shiny effect.

This is much easier to do at this stage of assembly than spraying the barrel with a metal color.
Bright enough for me, it looks in scale to my eye.

Here is Tamiya's Sherman kit with a few refinements. It was my first armor model attempted in some time... Still not finished, but not far to go!
